I feel a great need to be involved in things that are bigger than myself and being home with my little boy provides me with a lot of time to give back. As I was searching for something worthwhile to be involved in, I came across a mentoring opportunity to be a friend to a mother just like me. Immediately, I got excited and felt that being a friend and mentor would be the perfect opportunity for me give back and support others as well as continue learning myself.
