How is your family mentee doing?
I am not too sure as we do not communicate like we used to. I follow her on Instagram and she seems to be doing ok from that point of view.
What are their needs?
Not sure. I will reach out to her again to see what’s been up in her life lately.
What skills do they need to develop?
I think communication but with that being said she is young and I think just trying to survive the best way she knows how.
What changes are they trying to make?
Last I was updated was working on her GED and moving out of parents house to live with friends.
What concerns do you have?
I just hope the very best for her. Even when my year is over I will still keep in contact with her hoping one day she will be ready to have more of a relationship!

How can we be a support to you?
It hasn’t been the easiest getting her to want a relationship without her wanting money or something of that sort. But I have really enjoyed seeing her life changes, good and bad, over the past year. It has helped teach me how different everyone situation is and to be more empathetic than before. I have also been able to set boundaries with her which I am usually bad at. And she has been receptive of that but also the reason we haven’t blossomed together.
