How is your family mentee doing?
Susannah has been a little down lately. Her 3 children who were living with her were recently moved back to foster homes and one went to a group home. Susannah was given a drug hair follicle test and the results came back positive. Susannah was very depressed for a couple of weeks, but surrounded herself with family and reached out to me a couple of times. She is in therapy and looking for a stable job.
What are their needs?
Stable community of positive influencers. A job that promotes responsibility, routine, and self confidence.
What skills do they need to develop?
Follow-through and commitment after making plans. Organizing her and her families schedule.
What changes are they trying to make?
Commitment and accountability.
Organization (filling out a planner/schedule weekly).
Staying on track and doing what is asked to become a stable parent for her children.
