How is your family mentee doing?
She is making progress on her case to get a work visa and on her husband to get his. She is still discouraged to be separated from her husband these past two years but they talk briefly everyday.
What are their needs?
She was given a car to use by someone but it has been having mechanical issues lately so that is worrisome for her.
She needs to get her visa so she can begin to work and earn a living. She currently trades house/ dog sitting for a place to stay and childcare for the opportunity to use a gym.
What skills do they need to develop?
She has office skills once she is able to work.
What changes are they trying to make?
What concerns do you have?
She gets discouraged with how long the process of getting legalized to stay here is taking.
