Any children in the home?

How is your family mentee doing?

Lillian seems to be doing ok, not exactly where she wants to be though. She works long hours and gets paid little. This negatively impacts the time that she gets to spend with her children, or do anything besides work for the most part. She also struggles with where she is living, since she is living close to where to used to live when she was with her husband that was abusing her.

What are their needs?

Here biggest needs are providing for her children. She works long hours each week so she can afford the house they are living in, and well as provide for them.

What skills do they need to develop?

I don't necessarily know what skills they need to develop.

What changes are they trying to make?

At the moment I'm not sure what changes they are trying to make, just the changes they want to make.

What concerns do you have?

I'm concerned that she's feeling stuck where she's at, but doesn't know where to turn for help.

What community resources/classes would be most beneficial to them?

Resources that help single parents, or low income parents. That may help her to feel like she doesn't need to work as much if she can find ways to cover some of the expenses she has. Classes that would be beneficial may be ones that involve healing from abuse, or any resorces that can help her with the abuse she went through.

What contacts would help in their particular situation?

How can we be a support to you?

We had a sweet conversation over text about her children, and the nursery rooms and themes she had for them when they were babies.
