How is your family mentee doing?
Beth is doing as well as can be expected. She and her husband Josh are still living separately to ensure Luna has a safe place to live. Currently, they're focused on finding employment after using their tax return to purchase a car.
What are their needs?
Beth and Josh's most pressing need is housing; they urgently require a place to accommodate Luna, who is about to start walking and needs space to play.
What skills do they need to develop?
Josh and Beth are making every effort to establish a nurturing environment for Luna, their daughter. Developing self-confidence could significantly enhance their efforts, as I believe their lack of it is currently hindering them.
What changes are they trying to make?
Josh and Beth are currently striving to secure housing by actively seeking placement on multiple housing lists. Additionally, they are diligently pursuing employment opportunities and enhancing their skills through education. Furthermore, they are in the process of applying for disability benefits to address Josh's mental health conditions.
What concerns do you have?
I have no doubts about Josh and Beth's parenting abilities or their love for Luna; it's evident that they cherish her deeply. However, I am concerned about Josh's capacity to maintain employment due to his mental health conditions.
What community resources/classes would be most beneficial to them?
I'm uncertain which resources would be most beneficial for them, considering they have already participated in numerous classes, including Job Corps.

How can we be a support to you?
Every interaction I've had with Josh and Beth has been overwhelmingly positive. I feel incredibly fortunate to have them as my mentees, and of course, little Luna is an absolute joy.
